Got there around 10:45 and didn't leave until 2:50. Didn't have to wait a real long time to get back to the examime room but then it took about a half hour before the doctor came in. She checked me over and then asked when my last chest x-ray was. (Back when I was in the hospital earlier this year). So, I wait another half hour before the tech was free to do the x-ray. By this time I was getting pretty tired of being there but didn't feel I should leave. A little while later the doctor came back and said that the problems were not with the Asthma but my Congestive Heart Failure was acting up again. She asked if I felt as bad as I did when I had to go into the hospital and that is a big NO. So.....they took blood (had to do both arms because of small veins) and then she put an I.V.in my hand so they could put in steriods and a large dose of Lasix, followed by small bag with antibiotics in it. Have to go back tomorrow afternoon for another round of the same stuff. It was either doing all this or going in the hospital. I still have to keep doing the breathing treatments.
I am feeling a lot better already but sure hated being there that long. One of my daughter's actually drove there to make sure what was going on. I had her come on back because I knew I would be able to drive home.
Bob had taken Rascal for his grooming this morning and I was suppose to pick him up at noon. Needless to say I had to call and have him picked up. Right now Rascal and I are both resting. It wears him out when he gets groomed.
So, please keep me in your thoughts and prayers that this will do the trick and I won't have to go into the hospital. This is the same treatment I get when I am there.
