Ouchies is a great word to describe my day today...
I was able to get to the Chiropractor this morning. One of the last times I had been to my regular doc, I learned I had a couple of slightly bulging disks. What he DIDN'T tell me was that a couple of them had begun degenerating. ...ouchie
Well, the chiro took x-rays and he showed them to me. He began with my lower back and said well no surprises there since we already knew there were issues... but... he said my neck was a train wreck. Scared me when he said it...and made me want to cry... He showed me an x-ray of a normal neck...and the slight curvature that is indicative of a normal neck. Mine did not have a curve...and was also slightly askew to one side. No wonder it hurt so bad.
He did an adjustment to my entire spine and I am supposed to go back again Friday. I am sore tonight...just as he said I would be.
He did tell me though that Fibromyalgia can do a real job on our bones. The muscles, tendons, and ligaments can tug and pull things out of alighnment...and hold them there in an unnatural position until we discover more pain etc.
He told me his goal was to treat the whole body...and even encouraged me on how I could lose the weight I want to lose. He said once we get my body feeling better, it will be easier for me to do the exercises that will keep me healthier.
I was pleased with my visit today.
But tonight... I am sore and not feeling good..
Please keep me in your prayers as I get my bones back where they ought to be...or at least as close as we can get them.
Hugs all my friends...
