Thought I would check in for a bit and let you all know how things are going.
Work is going good, picking up again...sewing coming in...
Almost 2 weeks ago on Sunday, it was about 100 degrees. Ken and I decided to hop off to the beach with some of his family who were visiting from out of
town. The breeze was great, slightly overcast so the sun was not beating down incessantly, and the spray from the huge waves made it such a wonderful day.
Beach umbrella...soft wet sand... cool ocean waters.... ....and sunscreen....
Except...I think I forgot to apply it frequently enough. We were only out for 3 hours, but it was the worst sunburn I think I have ever had. My feet and legs
swelled from the sun exposure and hurt so bad when I walked it felt as if they were breaking. It was a deep tissue pain.....had me in tears until Wednesday.
Doc prescribed Prednisone and said it was an inflamatory reaction to the burn.
Ken burned badly also, but not quite as badly as I did. It was horrible. Ken thinks our sun screen may have been expired or something. Neither of us has ever
burned like this even when we forgot to put any on at all and stayed out all day long. Have no idea what else was in the air that day.. but it was scary stuff.
I will remember next time to be a whole lot more careful.
We DID have a blast though... just couldn't wear shoes for a solid week...
I think we will go to the pool this weekend...maybe the beach...
